In particular, our tester loved the dessert: "Finally, I enjoyed a tangy but sweet Sicilian Lemon Tart with the loveliest, crumbliest pastry..." a sweet end to a wonderful meal.

Co-op members can enjoy an ‘Irresistible' dining experience with a wide-range of gastro-inspired meals available from the supermarket’s premium food and drink range as part of the Dine in Deal for £10, including six new tasty treats for 2025. New highlights from this year’s menu includes a Chicken Parmigiana. Alternatively, tuck into a deliciously warming Beef Bourguignon, prepared with British Hereford beef, which is slow-cooked for six hours in an authentic rich red wine sauce. If you're after something sweet to finish your meal, you can purchase a pack of Co-op Rose Cupcakes, Chocolate Melting Middle Puddings or Valentine’s Heart Shaped Lollipops.

Yours tried and tested a selection from the Co-Op Valentine’s Meal Deal, and we were impressed with the quality and quantity. Particular standouts were the Hereford Ranch Steaks which were well-seasoned and paired perfectly with the Triple Cooked Chips (we’re still dreaming about those chips!). The rich and comforting Lasagne Al Forno was restaurant quality and along with the garlic flatbread, it was like eating in a good quality Italian restaurant at home. Speaking of Italian, it was such a treat to have an award-winning Prosecco included. For Co-Op members who love the finer things in life, this truly is an Irresistible deal. Just to add, it was incredibly easy to cook the food – all the hard work has been done.

The Morrisons The Best Valentine's Dine in for 2 is packed with quality options and offers great value for money. May we suggest starting with The Best Valentine's Soft Set Scotch Eggs, followed by mouth-watering Beef En Croute with Roasted Chantenay Carrots and Parmesan & Truffle Mash. End on a sweet note with Raspberry Panna Cotta and a bottle of The Best Prosecco.

Our tester thought it was a flavour sensation, commenting: "Wow, the Smoked Salmon Verrines were creamy and delicious and they were topped off with a generously-sized prawn and lashings of fresh smoked salmon." Onto the mains and it just got better-and-better: "The main course of Slow Cooked Lamb Shanks with Chianti Red Wine & Rosemary was just as delightful; there was so much meat on each one and it was succulent and juicy. The Roasted Chantenay Carrots with Acacia Honey Butter certainly brightened up the plate and the Parmesan and Truffle Mash was cheesy and creamy." Pleasing to the eye as it was to taste, our tester finished the meal with a sweet treat: "The Raspberry Profiteroles looked so pretty, and The Best Raspberry Lemonade washed everything down a treat."

It depends on how you mix and match the options, but this can be the best value meal deal if you choose carefully. There is an enormous selection, including several types of steak and decadent date night desserts. Choose from Specially Selected, Gastro By Specially Selected, Asia Specialties and more. We think the Heart Sharing Bread is adorable. The drinks are just as affordable as the food, with very reasonably priced prosecco and even Champagne on offer.
