ORGANIBOX CREDENTIALS

Price: Mixed fruit and vegetables box containing 16 items costs £29.50 (or £26.55 for a regular subscription).

How did this product make your life easier?

The Organibox delivered tasty, seasonal produce with more nutrients and environment-friendly credentials, arriving fresh, direct to my door. The fruit and veg all arrived fresh, individually wrapped in paper bags and paper based padding to protect it during delivery.

I noticed all the produce had consistently better flavour than regular supermarket produce. A few of the items were not so cosmetically “perfect”, as is to be expected with organic food, but flavour-wise they were spot-on. The selection in the box was a good variety, which by its organic nature, I assume was entirely seasonal. My box had the following 16 items: Giant satsumas; oranges; lime; lemon; kiwis; apples; bananas; vine tomatoes; a bulb of garlic; carrots; courgettes; large white onions, sweet potatoes; red pepper; asparagus and avocados.

What changes would you make to this product?

The box provided a great variety of fruit and veg for the four of us for the week. The only item I wished had been included was some form of green leaf, something like salad leaves or baby spinach. However, It could be that greens do make a regular appearance, just not the week that I sampled.

Would you recommend this product?

I would recommend this to anyone looking for the convenience of superior quality fruit and veg delivered to your door, in the knowledge that you are supporting an independent, homegown produce supplier and helping to avoid some of the practices from large-scale food suppliers and supermarkets that have been called into question lately.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Having been a subscriber for years to a well-known organic vegetable box, I would certainly consider swapping to an Organibox, as the quality was equally good and it is priced very competitively.
