If you find the weekly trip to the supermarket a stressful experience, it might be time to start shopping virtually online using the Morrison's app. We've put together everything you need to know about the Morrison's app including how you can download it and how to book your delivery slots.

With the Morrison's app and Morrison's More App, you can shop with ease and add all your favourites to your basket while keeping an eye on what you're spending. It also allows you to look at all the offers available in one place so you won't miss a bargain ever again.

How does the Morrison's app work?

The useful app means there's no more queuing for the checkout, no more wearing a mask while you scoot around the shop and no more spending more than you had planned to.

To get started, you'll need to download the Morrisons app from either the app store if you have an Apple iPhone or iPad, or on the Google Play storeif your phone is an Android. If you don't have any of these devices, you can always shop online through your browser on the Morrison's website.

Once you've downloaded the app, you'll need to make an account. If you already have an account with Morrison's, for example, if you have a Morrison's More card, you should be able to log in with your details and begin your shop.

If you're in a rush to secure your delivery slot but don't quite have the time to do your order yet, you can secure a delivery slot first. You can choose to either have a home delivery or a click and collect order where you have to go and pick up your groceries from your local Morrison's supermarket.

You'll then be offered a range of delivery times and dates with the cost of the delivery in the box. You'll usually find that the morning slots are a little more expensive than the evening slots so if you're keen to save your pennies, it's worth delaying your delivery. Once you've selected your slot, you'll have one hour to do your shop and order.

You can then shop via the app and pop everything into your virtual basket that you can see the total for in the top right corner. Just be mindful that in order to qualify for delivery or click and collect, you have to spend a minimum of £40.

The Morrisons More app

Did you know that there's also an app for your Morrison's More card? You can download this app from the app store for Apple iPhone's and iPad's or the Google Play store for Android devices.

This clever app links up to your Morrisons More card and your Morrison's grocery app so you can easily track how many points you have and the offers that are available to you.

All you need to do once downloaded is log in with your Morrisons account credentials and all your points and offers will be available to view. It's probably a good idea to have a check of this app before you do your shop to make sure you're not missing out on any offers.

Morrisons to axe More loyalty scheme

Sadly, Morrisons have announced they will be axing their More loyalty point scheme, instead, replacing it with personalised money-off vouchers.

The supermarket said: "We have listened to our customers and they tell us they prefer to be rewarded with money-off offers and instant rewards, instead of building up points. Customers tell us they want to give back to their communities and support the environment by living plastic and paper-free, where possible. In response, we are removing points and moving to money-off and an instant rewards-based programme delivered through the More App on your mobile phone and website."

From May 10 2021, you won't be able to collect More points on your shopping but you will get personalised money-off discounts via the app or online which are tailored towards products you usually buy.

According to Morrisons: "You will continue to receive great offers and promotions from Morrisons based on what you buy. These offers will be money-off which you can redeem instantly. You will also have the chance to win great prizes and support local communities."

You'll have to activate the offers first then swipe your app or card when it's time to pay to apply the discounts.

The scheme name 'More' is under review so will be updated along with changes to the app.

You've got until August 9 2021 to change your More points into vouchers as after this date, any points on your account will be lost.
