The best Cadbury Advent calendars at a glance:
How we tested the best Cadbury Advent calendars:
We gathered 5 Cadbury Advent calendars together and our food writer Arabella Horspool judged them (side-by-side) on three key points:
1. Taste: Of course, the most important factor is taste! When making a decision, we also considered the consistency and texture of the chocolates.
2. Design: With Christmas products, you want them to have some form of festivity to them, whether that’s a Christmassy gift box or a themed chocolate design. We’ve ranked the design based on physical appearance as well as practicality. Was the calendar easy to open? Were the chocolates individually wrapped? are some of the questions we asked ourselves.
3. Contents: When it comes to Advent calendars, it's what's on the inside that counts, so we've judged these Cadbury ones on how many items they have, the size of the chocolates, the variety of flavours and whether or not they're good value for money.
From classic Cadbury Dairy milk chocolate Advent calendars to special-themed designs, these chocolate calendars will add a sprinkle of joy (and a bite of deliciousness) to your holiday season. Let's unwrap the best options!
The best Cadbury Advent calendars 2024:
Best Cadbury tower Advent calendar
The Cadbury Chocolate 3D Advent Calendar has been designed for kids, but it would also make a lovely calendar for sharing (if you take turns opening a door each day). Shaped like Santa's Workshop, it has a fun activity behind each door, such as "Can you spot the bear?" and "Who is the Owl helping?" with an answer that can be found on the packaging.
There's a decent selection of classic Cadbury chocolate bars, including Chomp, Curlywurly, Dairy Milk, Freddo, Fudge bars and Milk Chocolate Buttons, but keep in mind that it does contain several chewy bars, which could be a choking hazard.

Best Cadbury Chunks Advent calendar
With individually wrapped chunks of glorious Cadbury Milk Chocolate, the Cadbury Dairy Milk Chunks Advent Calendar seems more sophisticated than the original Cadbury calendar and is a hit with the adults.
Behind each door, you'll find a decent-sized piece of classic Dairy Milk, Caramel, or Wholenut, which you can't really go wrong with! I found the doors easy to open and the contents easy to grab. The chocolate is individually wrapped and the box is covered in cellophane, and while I know this helps to maintain freshness, I would have liked less excess packaging.

Pros
- Large chunks of chocolate
- Easy to open and access the contents
Cons
- Excess packaging (cellophane and individually wrapped chocs)

Just like the Heroes Chocolate Tub, the calendar includes individually wrapped Creme Egg Twisted, Dairy Milk Caramel, Fudge, Crunchie Bits, Dinky Decker, and Cadbury Wispa and Twirl pieces.
As much as I love the variety you get, the Dinky Deckers just don't taste like the usual Double Deckers!

A nice twist on the original, the Cadbury Dairy Milk Creamy Advent Calendar has softer pieces of chocolate with smooth and creamy centres. They have sweet, festive shapes and melt in your mouth. Yes, they are so tasty, but unlike the chews in the 3D calendar, they don't last long!
For an extra treat, there's a slightly bigger chocolate behind door number 24, which says '1 MORE SLEEP!', which is a thoughtful touch. If you like variety, you may be let down by this calendar as ingredients-wise, the chocolates are all the same.

- A large chocolate for door 24
