How did this product make your life easier?

I’m obsessive about walking at least 7,500 steps a day so for me a good fitness tracker is essential. The HONOR Band 6 is incredibly easy to set up and sync to the corresponding smartphone app. The band is lightweight and comfortable to wear. I particularly liked the display, which is clear, bright and easy to read; showing heart rate, steps, calories burned and battery life. A press of the single button gives access to a simple breathing exercise – really useful to just take a moment for yourself and calm anxiety. This band packs a lot into a small package including a stopwatch, alarm and timer, torch, and even a local weather app – all at the touch of a button.

The band also collates detailed statistics on your heart rate, sleep and activity which you can view in more depth by using the associated smartphone app. As the data is stored in the app you can also track your progress over a number of days, weeks or months.

Would you recommend this product?

Absolutely! I loved how easy it was to set up the HONOR Band 6 and the battery life is excellent – lasting well over a week before needing to be charged. I also liked the fact that you can use the band to receive notifications of text and email messages – something I’d expect from a smartwatch or more expensive fitness tracker, but I was surprised to see it included in one in this price range.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

I did find that the HONOR Band 6 consistently registered fewer steps, more sleep and a lower heart rate than my existing fitness tracker (although it’s impossible to know which is more accurate). That said, retailing at £44.99 it represents great value for money with many of the same functions as its competitors but at a fraction of the price. I also really liked the clarity of the display compared to my existing tracker. There are nine watch faces to choose from but the default one felt very easy to read at a glance.

What changes would you make to this product?

Although it feels robust and comfortable to wear the HONOR Band 6 has quite a masculine, sporty design. For me it felt bulky because the watch face is wider than my wrist so personally, I’d prefer something more elegant. Also I think the associated smartphone app could be improved, to provide more detail and make it easier to make comparisons from day to day.
