Every year thousands of superdogs normally look forward to spreading waggy-tailed joy in care homes, hospitals, schools and other settings up and down the country. But sadly since March 2020 the UK's Pets as Therapy dogs have had to hang up their little PAT Dogs jackets and stay at home because of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, all in-person events that would usually raise money for the special charity - with whom Yours has had a special relationship for many years - have had to stop.
Determined not to be beaten, though, the charity are now launching a virtual dog show, all to raise spirits and much-needed funds, and they're inviting you and your four-legged friends to get involved.
From April 19, every week, any dog owner will be able to enter their four-legged friend into a new category ranging from bravest dog to golden oldie, prettiest pooch to cutest puppy to be in with winning a prize.
Weekly winners will receive a rosette for 1st/2nd/3rd place along with a certificate while the Best in Show winner will get this plus a dog bed from Orvis UK, Arden Grange Hamper and Hamper of Goodies from Pets At Home). Five Best in Show runners-up will receive an Orvis dog bed to value of £250, an Arden Grange Hamper and a Pets as Home Voucher worth £25.
Entries cost £2 with all funds going to support the ongoing work of the charity.
This week is the Bravest Dog competition
