However, I would've liked the tealight holder to be a bit bigger so that the flame doesn't appear over the top of it."

It might just become an annual tradition; with scented tealights and larger votive candles for every day of Advent, right up to Christmas Eve. What's new about this Yankee Candle festive offering is the votive candles are each in their own individual jar, so they are ready to light as soon as they are unboxed. Each votive candle gives ten hours of fragrance and because they are wider than tealights you get a bigger throw of scent.
This large box of treats unfolds to form the centrepiece around which you can place your multi-coloured candles. Behind each door is any one of 12 delightful scents, including warm and woody Amber & Sandalwood and juicy Red Raspberry, in both votive and tealight form. Spoiler alert: Behind door number one is a silver star-themed tealight holder, so you don't have to wait until Christmas Eve to get the best gift of all!
However, it does not appear to contain the two Christmas candles that the Wreath calendar does have. Nonetheless, the calendar makes a wonderful countdown to Christmas with beautifully designed details.
Yankee Candle have been producing Advent calendars for over five years. Fans who have been buying the Advent calendar every year comment that this is the best one yet. Online reviews praise the size of the votive candles, saying they offer a lovely variety in contrast to buying a larger jar candle where you have the same fragrance daily. This is an opportunity to explore new scents.
Bear in mind that this Book Advent calendar, which contains the votive candles, is not as widely available as the Wreath Advent calendar.
This makes a brilliant gift as it can be sent well before Christmas and it contains so many enticing seasonal scents for its price. Plus, it makes the ideal winter birthday gift for anyone born late November or early December.
