There is a lot to think about when moving away from home or to your first home, or some such scenario. A company called Noah has sought to alleviate some of the stress that comes with moving by offering bundles of essential home items that it calls Starter Kits.

There are a variety of these kits, with some of them (Student and Home Mover kits) providing a broad range of essential items, while others (Kitchen and Baking kits) are a bit more specific.

Noah came along in 2018, initially providing the Student Kit. But since then, it has expanded its offerings to include those mentioned above.

How did this product make your life easier?

Having moved recently, I put the Home Mover Premium Kit to the test to see if Noah's offerings are worth your time.

The kit includes almost 100 items in the form of cutlery, crockery, pots, utensils, baking equipment, towels, and bedding (for a full list of items click here).

While Noah does advertise that the items it selects are of high quality, one can't help but be sceptical. After all, peoples' ideas on what constitutes quality differ considerably. I personally tend to be a tough judge when it comes to build quality, preferring to spend more in return for superior durability and usability.

My hopes were high but my expectations were not. Given that for £279 Noah will kit out your kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom with basics, I did not imagine the items would be up to much. But I am pleased to report that I was proven wrong. Heavily.

Would you recommend this product?

Most definitely. Of all the items in the kit, there was nothing that felt flimsy or sub-par. Of particular note are the Haden pots that are really solid, and don't feel as if they will lose their non-stick coating (so long as you don't use metal utensils).

Likewise, the stoneware crockery will last a lifetime if they avoid sudden contact with a floor.

My other half also insisted that I mention that the cotton bedding is superb. She's right, it is.

What changes would you make to this product?

In addition to the impressive standard of quality of all the items, Noah incorporates some corporate responsibility that is worth applauding. It plants a tree for each kit sold and for every 20, it donates one to the YMCA.

While that is admirable, it could always do better - one tree is not going to offset the manufacturing of all the items in the kit, but it is much better than nothing. Noah remains a new company, so hopefully as it grows and becomes more established it will be able to improve its efforts.

It is also worth mentioning that £279 is for the single bedding. If you want double or king-sized, and there is a very high chance you will, the price jumps up to £294 and £320, respectively.

Verdict: Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Overall, Noah's Home Mover Premium Kit is fantastic. Whether for yourself or as a gift, it is a great option to consider because it makes moving in or out noticeably easier and consists of items that will last beyond the first month.
