FAQs

How to make flowers last longer

Clean Vase and Water: Always start with a clean vase and fill it with fresh, room-temperature water. Ensure no debris or bacteria is in the vase, which could cause the flowers to deteriorate more quickly.
Trim Stems: Before arranging the flowers, trim about an inch off the bottom of each stem at an angle. This allows for better water absorption. Using sharp scissors or a knife for a clean cut is best.
Remove Leaves: Remove any leaves submerged in water, as they can promote bacterial growth and cause the water to look very unpleasant.
Feed Flowers: Flowers are organisms, and like us, they need food to survive. Add flower food to the water in the vase. These packets typically contain nutrients and bactericides that help prolong the life of the flowers. If you don't have flower food, you can make your own by mixing sugar and a few drops of bleach into the water.
Change Water Regularly: Every two to three days, change the water in the vase and recut the stems. This helps prevent bacterial growth and keeps the water clean.
Placement: Keep the flowers away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts. Choose a cool spot in your home for the vase.
Misting: Lightly mist the petals of the flowers with water using a spray bottle. This can help keep them hydrated, especially if the air in your home is dry.
