Whether you've accidentally leant on a wet paint sign or have accidentally splattered yourself with paint while decorating, getting paint on your clothes isn't ideal.
Getting paint out of clothes can be tricky, and some more delicate fabrics might be permanently ruined. The key is to get it removed as soon as possible, and spot test on a piece of fabric before you use it on the visible bit.

This is the easiest kind of paint to remove. It's also known as latex paint and tends to wash out quickly. If the paint is dry, start by scraping off the excess paint. Then, run the stain under some warm water. Start by mixing the solution (one part dish soap to one part warm water) before sponging the stain with the solution. Rinse and repeat the process until the paint has gone. If it's still not coming out, you could try blotting a little acetone on the stain to try and remove.

For wet paint, scrape off the excess, use a cloth to blot up the paint and rinse. For dry stains, treat it with a paint thinner before blotting and rinsing. Straight after rinsing while the fabric is still damp, lay the stain down on a pile of white paper towels and blot with white spirit. Repeat until the stain is removed as well as possible, and if there is any stain left, soak in a water and detergent solution.
