How did this product make your life easier?
While a big clean with the heavy vacuum cleaner is still essential, this smart little vacuum cleaner keeps floors and carpets clear of dirt and mess between those deeper cleans. It’s especially useful in the kitchen for picking up bits of food that may have fallen on the floor during cooking, and thanks to its very slender and small size, it easily reaches under tables and worktops to clean spots I wouldn’t be able to reach without moving anything.
Setting up the vacuum was very simple, although it did take a few attempts to connect to my Wi-Fi. Once it got on its way, it didn’t need any assistance. I did find myself following it around like a toddler, especially when it was doing the landing and I thought it was going to fall down the stairs, but this robot is far too intelligent for that.
Would you recommend this product?
This product is ideal if you struggle with heavier vacuum cleaners, as it minimises the amount of energy and time you need to put into cleaning. It is however a luxury and while it was able to deal with the odd mess, I did have to regularly get the big vacuum out. So if you only had the budget for one or the other, I would recommend investing in a regular, good-quality vacuum cleaner.
There were also a few downsides. The suction level is very good for a vacuum of this size, but it did take a few attempts to pick up some bits of fluff and pet hair off the floor. It is also rather noisy, so if you do plan to watch some TV while it’s on, you may need to turn it up a tad. The final point is that it often struggled to find its way home to the charging base, moving around in circles unable to locate it, meaning I did have to give it a little nudge in the right direction at times.
Would you choose this product above all others on the market?
In terms of affordability, the Eufy range of robot vacuums are the best and compared to others on the market it is a much more affordable option if you’re looking to buy a robotic vacuum that will perform well. If you're looking for a more sophisticated vacuum, you may want to consider the iRobot Roomba 965.
The fact it also has two different cleaning modes with the ability to mop floors is also appealing as this isn’t something I have seen before with other robotic vacuums.
What changes would you make to this product?
Although the mop function is a real selling point, it was rather weak, and I found it much quicker to manually mop my kitchen floors, meaning this function probably isn’t something I would use again. I personally think it would be better to focus on the vacuuming feature alone to maybe have more powerful suction when operating on thicker pile carpeting.
