The De’longhi bend line remote controlled ceramic fan heater features a osculating movement to heat up the room evenly. The modern design is pleasing to the eye and is extremely quiet when in use, the remote control is a great touch meaning you do not need to get up to change settings you can simply click the remote to control the heater from the comfort of your seat.

With lots of other heaters to chose from on the market this heater holds its own with the competition at around £100 to purchase which is extremely reasonable. With the price of utilities rising you ideally want the most economical way to heat rooms for the lowest energy usage. I have always favoured oil filled radiators as an alternative heat source so didn’t know what to expect from this heater, I have to say how pleasantly surprised I was when using this heater in the conservatory and main living areas the heat output was felt instantly.

Testing the De'Longhi Bend Line 2kW Oscillating Tower Ceramic Heater

I am 40 years old and live with my partner, together we have 4 children aged 17 years, 11 years, 6 years and our last a 4 month old baby girl. I work as a business support officer and my partner is a plumbing and heating engineer. We have a very busy household and are always looking for ways to reduce our living costs. With the cost of living and ever rising utility costs we tested this product using our smart meter that is installed in our home. We noted the price to be around 1p per minute when the De’longhi ceramic heater was in use on full power. We have tested this product occasionally on cold evenings over around 2 months from August to October.

My initial thoughts on receiving the De’longhi ceramic fan heater were positive, it looked like a quality, compact, modern piece of kit, well packaged and well thought out design easy to store away when not in use and small enough to not be intrusive of living space when in use, the instructions were informative and easy to understand and follow needing minimal set up of the heater before first use.

I was especially pleased that this heater has a tip over switch system that automatically turns off the appliance if it is accidently knocked over or falls over for any reason, living in a busy house with children and pets this is always a worry, we also noted the heater to be touch safe after use whereas compared to oil filled radiators they take quite a while to cool down to be moved and put away. It has a timer so it can be set to switch off after a period of time up to 6 hours and also a time to pre set the heater to come on.

Final verdict

Although the De’longhi heater is a little pricey to run for long periods of time it was still cheaper to heat the room in use than putting the central heating on. The heater is compact with a vertical design and having the osculating feature it heats up the room quickly spreading the heat around evenly. The heater is so quiet when in use there is virtually no sound that comes from the heater at all.  There was no set up of this equipment other than taking it out of the packaging as it came ready assembled with an easy to follow manual. I would recommend this product to family and friends as I found it good value for money, it met the performance expectations it claimed in the description.
