The best teeth whitening products for a brighter smile

We've tested out plenty of products in our HiSmile reviews, but this is definitely our favourite teeth whitening kit. Formulated by the Hismile Research Centre it's been clinically trialled and tested by dentists. The worry-free 10-minute formula is peroxide-free, using phtalimidoperoxycaproic acid (PAP) instead for no sensitivity and irritation, and contains ingredients to help strengthen, whiten, and protect your teeth by oxidising tooth stains without releasing free radicals. 

Designed to show results in as little as one treatment, 100 per cent of participants in the PAP+ clinical trial achieved instant results whilst 62 per cent said their teeth improved by three shades over the course of the trial.

This kit includes a combination of whitening toothpaste and teeth whitening strips, so you can get the best results possible. The only slight downfall is that you do have to wear them for an hour a day, however, this also gives us more hope that they work, as cheaper ones usually just require a few minutes.

Whitening toothpastes are the easiest and cheapest teeth whitening methods to use at home and there's no doubt you've probably already heard about Pearl Drops. The brand has a number of different whitening toothpastes on the market, but this one promises to make teeth up to four shades whiter in just three weeks using a buffing technique. It contains perlite, used by dentists, and is very affordable, so it's a great investment if you're on a bit of a tighter budget.

After experimenting with different brands over about six months, it took a couple of months using this stuff for my teeth to be brought back to their original whiteness. I use it along with Pearl Drops whitening toothpaste, and together, they keep my smile as bright as it was when I was 20. Just give it time, and use it twice daily. Another cult product in the world of teeth whitening strips are these ones from Crest. They are very similar to the Oral-B strips and claim to deliver brighter teeth in as little as three days, and a whiter smile in 20 days. The strips have FlexFit technology so that they can adapt to fit your teeth correctly. There are a variety of options to choose from when purchasing to allow you to try a few strips out before you buy in bulk.

If you're keen for a teeth whitening kit, but have sensitive teeth, then Smile Time could be ideal for you. With over 3000 five star reviews, the brand claims it can turn your whiter teeth up to eight shades whiter in just six

15 minute treatments per day. Like other teeth whitening kits, it's very easy to use and you get six gel treatments in the box. Refill kits afterwards cost £19.99.

My teeth improved by three shades whiter in four days of use daily and 4 shades after a week. The trick is to use it daily to see the full result. You won't notice much of a difference after the first use, however, after a few days you have a whiter smile. I 100% recommend it."
