The Glamoriser Bluetooth Smart Straightener is the best hair tool that styles your hair exactly the way you want it. The floating plates glide easily to style faster, with a shiny salon-like finish.
However, this isn't just any straightener - this one can work with your phone. Simply download the Glamoriser app to take advantage of personalized heat settings to suit how you style your hair. From your phone, you can also set the straightener to switch off automatically between 5 to 20 minutes after you have finished with them. Adjust the temperature of the straightener, choosing a temperature between 80 - 235°C. When you do find a temperature you like, keep it locked in. That way your style will look consistent and will always turn out as you expect - no more bad hair days.

Testing out the Glamoriser Smart Hair Straightener
These elegant, lightweight straighteners come with a silicone protective heat mat and tip case to keep them closed for packing away. The plates heat up very swiftly, the same time taken as a standard hair waver tool. The temperature control on the device is very pleasing to use as it’s touch-sensitive. The heat is easily adjusted with an up/down swipe. The target temperature is also displayed digitally and subtly beeps when it reaches the chosen heat.
The straighteners are reputed to rival brands such as the ghd Platinum+ straightener, and I certainly found they produced shinier results than my regular set. Hair glides through the hot plates with ease with no snagging, reducing the chance of accidental heat damage. My daughter has long, thick hair which is sadly damaged from being over-highlighted and previous careless use of straighteners. Instead of using a hair dryer brush, I tested these straighteners on her hair instead, on a cautious low setting, and it looked much healthier, appearing shiny and tamed.
The function to use the straighteners connected by Bluetooth did at first appear a bit gimmicky, but it does have a few useful functions. Using my smartphone with its associated app, after inputting a few basic facts about the condition of my hair, the app recommended an optimum temperature. I particularly liked being able to set a short auto-switch-off time, as I always worry about accidentally leaving straighteners on. The straighteners cleverly detect inactivity and shut off after as little as five minutes.
The app also offers social media participation (it encourages users to upload their hair creations to photo-sharing platforms) which might be a nice touch for younger users, but I didn’t feel was aimed at me.
Glamoriser Smart Bluetooth Hair Straightener: final verdict
Overall, I found the Glamoriser Straighteners to be much gentler on my hair than my regular straighteners and performed well. The app has a couple of handy bonus features, but it’s the straighteners themselves that impressed me. At a lower price point than straighteners like the Dyson Corrale, these seemed good value and worth the £130 cost.
Glamoriser Bluetooth Smart Straightener is available from Glamoriser.com for £130.
