ITV has confirmed that their popular crime drama Unforgotten will return for series 7. This announcement follows the gripping finale of series 6, which revealed who killed Gerry Cooper.
The first episode of the latest series drew 7.4 million viewers, making it the second most-watched drama of the past year across all channels, based on 14-day viewing figures. The show has also achieved significant success on ITVX, with over 24 million streams this year, including 18.3 million for the latest series and 6.3 million for earlier seasons.
Stars Sanjeev Bhaskar (who plays DI Sunil "Sunny" Khan) and Sinéad Keenan (DCI Jessica "Jessie" James) shared the exciting news in a video on social media. In the video, they can be seen holding up a script for the seventh series and they thank "everyone who's watched so far".
