Channel 5 has announced a new drama, The Wives, which is said to be gripping with a darkly comic edge. Set in Malta, the story follows three women as they try to solve a mystery that surrounds their family.
What is Channel 5 drama The Wives about?
Annabelle (played by Christine Bottomley, who can be seen as Daphne Sparrow's long-lost daughter in Sherwood series 2) is suspected to have fallen to her demise from a clifftop in Malta, although her body was never recovered.
Here's the official synopsis: "With lies coming to light and evidence building, the women work together and against each other to unravel the mystery and bring the culprit to justice.
"But with corrupt officials, drug cartels and career criminals closer to home than ever expected, have they bitten off more than they can chew?"
