Rod Stewart's wife

Rod has been married three times. First he was married to Alana Stewart from 1979 to 1984 and they had two children together, Kimberly and Sean.

He was then married to his second wife Rachel Hunter from 1990 to 2006 and the pair had two children together, Renee and Liam.

Rod's love for model train sets

Back in November 2019, Rod revealed the impressive passion project he had been working on for the past 23 years.

His massive, intricate model of a US city was unveiled in Railway Modeller magazine. The city was inspired by New York and Chicago around 1945, and many fans questioned whether Rod had built the entire model himself.

Speaking to Jeremy Vine on BBC Radio 2, he said, "I would say 90% of it I built myself,

"The only thing I wasn't very good at and still am not is the electricals, so I had someone else do that."

Rod Stewart young

Born Roderick David Stewart in London, he is of English and Scottish ancestry (which explains his love for Celtic football team).

His music career began back in 1962, when he took up busking with a harmonica. Here he is in 1964 around the age of 19.
