Patrick Grant is an award winning Scottish fashion designer, who is the director of Saville Row tailors, Norton & Sons, E. Tautz & Sons, Community Clothing, and textile manufacturer Cookson & Clegg. In 2010 he won the Menswear Designer of the Year award at the British Fashion Awards and in 2015 was awarded the BFC/ GQ Designer Menswear Fund.
For many though, Patrick is most recognisable for being a judge on BBC One’s The Great British Sewing Bee.

In his youth, Patrick attended Barnard Castle School in the North East of England as a boarding pupil. He then went on to complete a degree in material sciences at Leeds University, but later decided to pursue a career in marketing, before pivoting to fashion and business while studying for an MBA degree at the Saïd Business School in Oxford.
Who is Patrick Grant’s partner?
Patrick's partner is a dentist, and the pair have been together since 2022.
He was previously in a long term relationship with handbag and accessory designer, Katie Hillier, however after eight years together the couple split in 2016.
He told The Times earlier a couple of years ago that he’d be open to finding love if it could fit in around his busy schedule: “If a relationship comes along that works with the tightly constrained amount of time that I have, of course I’d be happy," he said.

Back in April this year, the fashion designer posted a tweet where he said he’d had “the most hellish six months” of his life, however he chose not to elaborate on this.
His father sadly passed away from Covid-19 back in 2020, and Patrick has been outspoken about criticising the government's ability to get protective gear into hospitals when Covid hit, saying that his father died “very unnecessarily” due to personal protective equipment (PPE) shortages during the pandemic.

The Scottish designer swapped his suave suits for a plain white apron to take part in 2021's Celebrity Masterchef, alongside Loose Women’s Penny Lancaster, but was sadly sent home after his first episode.

In his early years, Patrick was apparently very passionate about playing rugby.
He played for the Scottish rugby union at under 18 and under 19 level, before suffering a shoulder injury which saw his love for the sport come to an end. Other sports Patrick played in during his youth included rowing, athletics, swimming, tennis and cross country running.
His father, James, had been a rugby coach as well as an accountant and band manager to the Scottish band, Marmalade.
