After the likes of Fool Me Once and The Stranger, whenever we see 'Harlan Coben' and 'Netflix' together, we know we're in for a treat. The next collaboration to look forward to is the new drama, Missing You.

Missing You plot
As the show is based on a book of the same name, published in 2015, you may already be familiar with the premise.
Here's the official synopsis from Netflix: 'Eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan's fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she's never heard from him since. Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh's reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.'
Missing You, Netflix release date
The show able to binge-watch the show from the 1st January 2025, so that's New Year's Day sorted! Missing You doesn't have a trailer yet, but we're keeping our eyes peeled for more news so that we can everyone updated!

Coben's series typically include a wealth of established, homegrown talent, with viewers up and down the country saying "isn't that so-and-so from...?" whenever a new character enters the scene, and Missing You promises to be no different.

Rosalind Eleazer - Detective Kat Donovan
Taking on the lead role is Rosalind Eleazar, best known for Slow Horses (Apple TVs hugely popular thriller about a team of dysfunctional MI5 agents) and The Personal History of David Copperfield.
Ashley Walters - Josh Ellis
Kat's missing husband, Josh, will be played by Top Boy's Ashley Walters. Viewers may have most recently seen the actor and rapper in his episode of Louis Theroux Interviews on BBC 2, in which he discussed his time as Asher D in the So Solid Crew and his life as a parent to eight children.
Jessica Plummer - Stacey Embalo
From performing in the band Neon Jungle, to playing Chantelle Atkins in EastEnders and starring in a movie alongside Ruth Wilson and Nicole Kidman, Jessica Plummer's career has been pretty diverse thus far.
She'll be joining the series as Stacey Embalo.
Richard Armitage - Ellis Stagger
This isn't Richard Armitage's first rodeo as he has appeared in three previous Harlan Coben TV shows: The Stranger, Stay Close and most recently, Fool Me Once - Netflix's most-watched show of 2024 so far - alongside Michelle Keegan. This time he'll be playing Ellis Stagger.
Lenny Henry - Clint Donovan
The Dudley-born comedian will be appearing as Clint Donovan in Missing You. He recently announced that he's stepping down from presenting duties on Comic Relief, but will still be working behind the scenes as a Life President for the charity.
Lenny Henry's career has spanned 5 decades, with jobs such as Tiswas, Three Little Birds and Broadchurch.
James Nesbitt - Calligan
Another cast member that's appeared in a previous Harlan Coben Netflix series (Stay Close, with Richard Armitage). He's had a pretty extensive career, acting in thrillers such as Bloodlands, Suspects and The Missing - he even made a surprise appearance in Line of Duty!
This time, he'll be playing Calligan, but he's best known as Adam in ITVs long-running comedy-drama, Cold Feet.
Lisa Faulkner - Dana Fells
Actress turned television-chef Lisa Faulkner has appeared in Spooks (which her current co-star Richard Armitage was in) and A Confession on ITV. In recent years, she presents her own cookery shows alongside her husband, celebrity chef John Torode.
Steve Pemberton - Titus
Steve Pemberton is an actor who straddles the comedy and drama spheres. He co-wrote and appeared in Inside No 9, League of Gentleman, and Psychoville. He's also starred in Benidorm and Happy Valley and was a contestant on Taskmaster series 17.
Marc Warren - Monte Leburne
Van Der Valk and Mad Dogs actor Marc Warren will play Monte Leburne. Back in 2018 he played Dr. Pete Mayfield in Harlan Coben's thriller Safe, alongside Michael C. Hall and Amanda Abbington.
Matt Jay-Willis - Daryl
Some people may not know that the Busted singer, Matt Willis, is an actor. He has had small roles on a few shows, including EastEnders and Birds of a Feather, where his time on the show was cut short due to McBusted band commitments.
You may have watched his documentary Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction, in which he and his wife, presenter Emma Willis, were very open and honest about his struggles.
Samantha Spiro - Nurse Sally Steiner
Samantha Spiro is a British actress and singer who has worked on many plays in London. You may also recognise her from several tv programmes including Grandma's House, Game of Thrones and more recently, Maureen Groff in Netflix's Sex Education.
Paul Kaye - Monte Leburne
Comedian and actor Paul Kaye will be channelling the role of Monte Leburne in Missing You. Viewers are likely to recognise him as the psychiatrist in After Life or as one of the main characters in the Stranger (alongside fellow cast mate Richard Armitage).
Felix Garcia Guyer - Reynaldo
Reynaldo will be played by Felix Garcia Guyer, a recent graduate of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He has appeared in Macbeth (2015), Lift, Sanctuary and The Spanish Princess.
Rudi Dharmalingam as Rishi
Actor Rudi Dharlingham will be in Missing You, playing Rishi. He has worked on several TV shows including The Split, Our Girl and Dark Money.
Mary Malone - Aqua
Theatre actor Mary Malone will be starring in the Netflix drama as Aqua. She has recently worked on Doctor Who and The Prince.
