At the end of November, the jokes about Michael Bublé starting to defrost start to make a comeback. But who exactly is he and why is he known as the undisputed king of Christmas?
Who is Michael Bublé
A Canadian singer and songwriter, Michael Bublé is best known for his take on old jazz and Christmas songs, so much so that he's now heavily synonymous with the festive period.
"I would never believe that a dude from Burnaby, whose grandfather, a plumber, would have snuck him into nightclubs for 10 years to work, would somehow be associated with such a beautiful time of year. As a Christian, it’s even more special for me," he told Smooth Radio.
He's certainly popular, having sold over 60 million albums worldwide and won numerous awards including four Grammy Awards.
Michael Bublé Christmas album
One of his most successful albums (and the main reason he is so associated with the festive period), 'Christmas' is Michael's seventh studio album and was first released back in 2011.
It was re-released first in November 2012 with four additional tracks and then again in November 2021 to celebrate the 10th anniversary with two newly recorded songs.
