First appearing on the show in series 10, Megan has been playing Ann “Nancy” Corrigan since 2021. Her character was raised by Catholic nuns in an orphanage and was then sent away to Nonnatus house as a trainee midwife.

At age 16, Nancy had a daughter named Colette, who also features in the show and lives in the same orphanage that her mother did as she was born out of wedlock. Nancy receives monthly visits from her daughter, but then takes her welfare into her own hands and tries to work hard to provide a life for her child.

Speaking to Radio Times about what her character Nancy got up to Call The Midwife series 12, Megan said: "Hopefully, or what I expect, is more of a fight to have her daughter. I think despite being very foot-in-mouth and a bit erratic, I think the main thing is she wants to make her daughter her own and live together."

In 2024, Nancy was a main part of the Call The Midwife Christmas special, and we are pleased to hear that Nurse Corrigan will also be in Call The Midwife series 14.
