If you're a Strictly Come Dancing fan, you'll already recognise Judi Love but how much do you know about the comedian and presenter?
How old is Judi?
Born on 4 June 1980, Judi is currently 41 years old.
Judi's family
The youngest of five children, Judi was born in Hackney, London. Her parents are both sadly deceased, her mum passing following a battle with dementia in 2009 and her father dying during the coronavirus pandemic.
Judi recently spoke about how proud her parents would be of her time on Strictly Come Dancing.
“I think my dad and my mum, because they both passed, would be so proud. I think my mum would probably want to dance with Graziano, and want some of those beautiful dresses. And I think they would just be proud and honoured.
Their journey from coming from the West Indies to here, like any parents, it doesn’t matter what your background is, you hope that the next generation can do more than you and I think that would probably have given them their peace of mind for all that they’ve sacrificed for."
Who is Judi's partner?
As far as we know, Judi is currently single. She told OK! Magazine: "I’m definitely dating! Which is a good thing. I’m just loving myself and where I am. I know now what I need and what I want. It’s a nice feeling when you can meet someone and get on with them."
She also has two children with her ex-partner, a son and daughter.
Judi's career
Starting her stand-up career in 2011, Judi has appeared on several shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Stand-Up Sketch Show, This is My House and Celebrity Gogglebox. She is a series regular and team captain on Sorry, I Didn't Know, a British panel show where panellists answer questions about Black history.
Judi went on to become a regular panellist for ITV's Loose Women in 2020. She also appeared on Celebrity MasterChef in July 2020 where she was a finalist.
Strictly Come Dancing
This year, it was announced that Judi would be appearing in the 19th series of Strictly Come Dancing. Judi is currently partnered with Graziano Di Prima and has credited the show with helping her in many ways.
"It helps you physically, it helps you emotionally, and it helps you mentally. I think anybody who is in any space, this can only be something that makes you better."
Judi Love's Quarantine date night
Judi kept many of us entertained during lockdown with her Instagram series Quarantine Date Nights.
Talking to Graham Norton, Judi explained: "It started in lockdown. Dating was a problem beforehand – you’d have great chats on apps and then you would meet them in person, and you’d think, ‘I don’t know who the hell you are!’ We’ve had a great response. It’s been great and really opened up the conversation about dating."
Is Judi on social media?
She is indeed! Judi regularly posts on her Instagram account, sharing behind the show snippets of Strictly and Loose Women. You can also find her on Twitter and Facebook.
