Starring alongside the likes of Michelle Keegan, Richard Armitage and Adeel Akhtar, Emmett stars in Harlan Coben's hit Netflix show Fool Me Once. He plays Shane Tessier, a military police officer and confidant to Maya (Keegan). In the first ew weeks of release, the show reached number one in more than 60 countries.
Emmett J. Scanlan is also in Safe, another drama by American writer Harlan Coben. He stars alongside Amanda Abbington (who was in Strictly Come Dancing 2023), playing her ex-husband.

Brendan Brady was an anti-hero and villain, introduced as part of the show's overhaul in 2010 and he soon became one of the most popular characters in Hollyoaks' history. He was the brother of Cheryl (played by Bronagh Waugh, who also starred in The Fall) and he was in a relationship with Ste Hay. Emmett stayed in Hollyoaks, the Channel 4 soap until 2013.
