On the historic occasion of the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey, we've gathered together some of the images captured from this momentous day. This coronation is the first in the UK in 70 years, after the late Queen Elizabeth II. Per tradition, the queen consort wore two robes during the coronation—one worn upon arrival at Westminster Abbey, and one during her exit. The first robe was first made for Elizabeth II during her coronation ceremony 70 years ago.
Before use at the coronation day, the Anointing Screen was blessed at a special service of dedication at the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.
King Charles III wears the St. Edward's Crown, one of the most recognisable Crown Jewels, as he is officially declared King, this is the first and only time that he will wear this particular crown.

Queen Camilla wears Queen Mary's crown, which was redesigned and reset for the coronation. It features three Cullinan diamonds which were part of the late Queen's personal jewellery collection, often worn by her as brooches.
