Whatever your age, Changing Rooms is a show we're all familiar with and if you were a fan of the 90s show, You'll be pleased that it's finally back on our TV screens after 17 years!
The new version of the show is presented by Anna Richardson in place of previous host Carol Smillie.
And of course Anna is joined by Changing Rooms favourite, designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, who it seemed took a lot of convincing to join the show.
"There’s no room for beige in our homes and, just as it was in the 90s, Changing Rooms is once more the homestyle antidote to Britain’s blues (and greys and taupes, and even Magnolia). It’s taken quite a lot of coaxing to get me under the Changing Rooms banner once more," Laurence admitted. ‘"But nothing like as much coaxing as it’s going to take to squeeze those leather trousers back on."
If you're not familiar or need a reminder, in Changing Rooms two teams competing against each other would renovate a room in each other’s houses, leading to some very interesting results to say the least.
While rumours of Changing Room's return was teased back in August, Carole had not received a call to confirm she would be taking part, despite her interest. "‘It was definitely the favourite show of my career, without a doubt. It would be the only show I’d come back to telly for," she told The Sun.
The show was so popular that it ran for a whopping ten seasons from 1996-2003. While there hasn't been a date revealed as to when the show will return, we'll be sure to keep you updated.
The new series of Changing Room's airs every Wednesday at 8pm on Channel 4.
