A top DJ and model are among those taking part in the latest series

The BBC have revealed the four famous faces heading to the starting line for the second series of Celebrity Race Across the World. Following the same format as the original BBC series, the celebrity version of Race Across the World will see four celebs and their partners go head to head as they travel across 12,500km on minimal budgets, with no air travel or internet allowed.

As well as unveiling the cast of Celebrity Race Across the World, the BBC have also revealed the start date for the show, and it's very soon. Read on for more details!

The cast of Celebrity Race Across the World 2024

Four celebrities are taking part, each of them accompanied by a loved one. There are three male celebrities and one female, all heading out on the adventure of a lifetime.

Radio host and presenter Jeff Brazier, who was married to the late Jade Goody, will be taking part with his son, Freddy. You might also know Jeff's other son, Bobby, who was a finalist in Strictly Come Dancingin 2023.

Kola Bokinni

Kola Bokkini played footballer Isaac McAdoo in Ted Lasso. He will be joined on Race Across the World by his cousin, Mary-Ellen.

Kelly Brook

Model and broadcaster Kelly Brook has been a familiar face on British TV for a number of years. You might recall her taking part in Strictly Come Dancing back in 2007. She will be joined by her husband Jeremy.

Scott Mills currently hosts the afternoon show on Radio 2, as well as hosting the station's Eurovision coverage alongside Rylan. He's taking part in Celebrity Race Across the World with his husband Sam. At the time of filming, the pair were engaged, and they tied the knot in June.

Where does Celebrity Race Across the World 2024 take place?

Race Across the World, both the celeb and regular versions, always take us to far-flung countries and it's our pleasure to watch as each pair tries to navigate across different countries and sometimes even time zones in an effort to be the first to reach the final check-point.

So far, races have taken place across South America, Canada, Europe and most recently, Asia. This year, the cast of Celebrity Race Across the World will begin the race in Belém, Northern Brazil, known as the gateway to the Amazon. Teams will travel through five checkpoints covering South America until they reach their final destination in the Andes, Southern Chile.

When will Celebrity Race Across the World be on?

Race Across the World started its life on BBC2, but performed much better than expected, prompting the broadcaster tom move it to BBC 1 after series 2. Celebrity Race Across the World Series 2 will also air on BBC1, starting on Wednesday 14th August at 9pm.

Who won Celebrity Race Across the World Series 1?

The first series of celebrity Race Across the World saw All Saints singer Melanie Platt, TV presenter and weatherman Alex Beresford, McFly drummer Harry Judd and racing pundit Billy Monger travel from Morocco to Norway. Alex Beresford won the series with his dad, Noel.
