Dearest gentle readers, Bridgerton season 3 may have only just been released, but fans are already eagerly anticipating the fourth season of Bridgerton, with many flocking to social media to share their guesses on who may be next to lead the fantasy period drama.
In a recent post, Netflix has finally confirmed who will be taking the spotlight in the upcoming series and viewers cannot contain their excitement.
Who will season 4 of Bridgerton be about?
Finally, Benedict fans can rejoice, as the second Bridgerton brother (played by Luke Thompson) will be finally getting his time to shine and lead season 4!
Seasons 1 and 2 have followed the order of the Bridgerton books as Julia Quinn wrote them, but we took a slight detour in season 3 as instead of Benedict (as the order of the books goes), the latest instalment followed Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), aka Lady Whistledown, and Colin Bridgerton’s (Luke Newton) romance, which was covered in book 3 Romancing Mr Bridgerton.

What will Bridgerton season 4 be about?
Apart from the Bridgerton season 4 main character announcement, little is known about the next instalment, but here's a quick teaser from Netflix: "Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down -- until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball."
The showrunners may stick to the story from book 3: An Offer From A Gentleman and introduce Sophie as Benedict Bridgerton's match, however, the show has been known to go off-piste from the books, so who knows where the next chapter will take our beloved characters?
