The BBC has announced that some big names will be joining the cast of Beyond Paradise as it returns for series 3, with My Family star Kris Marshall and Not Going Out actor Sally Bretton at the helm as DI Humphrey Goodman and his partner Martha Lloyd.
As always, the stunning coastal backdrop of the fictional town of Shipton Abbott will provide the perfect setting for the latest round of gripping investigations and personal challenges in this cosy crime drama , (which is a spin-off show to the much-loved Death in Paradise).

One of the most exciting additions to the cast is Hugh Dennis, best known for his role as Pete in Outnumbered. He will be appearing as Arthur Donelan, a local councillor.
Meanwhile Caroline Quentin (Men Behaving Badly) and Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean) will go head-to head as farming rivals Lotty Lewes and George Ellis.

There are some interesting cases in this series, including a chocolate box poisoning, a pair of feuding farmers and the discovery of a body in a river on the county border.
Helping (or hindering) Kris Marshall's DI Humphrey Goodman to investigate these crimes are DI Ray's Steve Oram and Changing Ends' Gabby Best, who are recent additions to the Cornish police force.

While Humphrey's work is busy, his personal life is also set for a shake-up as he and Martha (Sally Bretton) will be welcoming a new foster placement called Rosie (played by Bella Rei Blue Stevenson).

And, if that wasn't hectic enough, Martha's old flame Archie Hughes (Jamie Bamber) is back on the scene, which is undoubtedly going to ruffle a few feathers.
Other returning cast members include Barbara Flynn (A Family at War) as Anne Lloyd, Felicity Montagu (Alan Partridge, Nighty Night) as Margo Martins, Dylan Llewellyn (Big Boys, Derry Girls) as PC Kelby Hartford (Insomnia) and Chizzy Akudolu (Holby City, The Woman in the Wall) as Reverend Kate.

Jade Harrison as CS Charlie Woods, Melina Sinadinou as Zoe Williams, Chris Jenks (Vigil, Karen Pirie) as Josh Woods, Eva Feiler (We Were the Lucky Ones) as Nurse Lucy, Amalia Vitale (Big Mood) as Hannah, and last but not least, Selwyn the Duck will also be back.
