Actress Annabelle Apsion is perhaps most famous for her role in the Channel 4 comedy, Shameless, but she's starred in a huge number of roles outside of that, most recently, Call the Midwife.

As well as small roles in Emmerdale, Casualty, The Bill, Midsomer Murders and Coronation Street, her first big role came in the role of Monica Gallagher in the Channel 4 comedy series, Shameless.

Since then she also appeared in Wild at Heart, Lewis, Doctors, Holby City and one of our favourite series, Doc Martin.

As well as many TV series, she's also been in a range of TV film roles and theatre appearances including Anna Karenina and Richard III.

More recently, Annabelle has played Violet Buckle in Call the Midwife since series 4 in 2015. Violet is the wife of Frederick Buckle, played by Cliff Parisi, and is a real active member in the community and is the leader of the Brownies and the owner of the local haberdashery. It's expected that Annabelle will be appearing in the new series 13 of Call the Midwife as well as the Christmas special of Call the Midwife.

Annabelle keeps her personal life very private, so very little is known about her family and whether or not she has a partner.

As far as we can find, it's believed that Annabelle has a long term partner and she doesn't have any children.
