Deciding what to give someone as a present can be tough, whether it's for Christmas, Easter, their birthday or any other occasion. And if you're not given a specific idea, it can feel like a minefield.

That's why we love to make a personalised gift box filled with goodies, so you can create a thoughtful gift that is bound to make anyone smile.

While it might be something you only want to do for your nearest and dearest, making your own gift box means you can combine lots of lovely bits and pieces the lucky recipient is bound to love because you've made it with them in mind.

If making your own gift box is something you'd like to have a go at, our step-by-step guide will walk you through exactly what you need to create a gorgeous present.

Choose the gift box

Just so you know, whilst we may receive a commission or other compensation from the links on this page, we never allow this to influence product selections.

This will depend entirely on what size present you'd like to give. You may just want to do something small, or you might like to go wild and choose an extra-large box. Either way, we recommend choosing a deep box with a lid.

Pick some filling

Rather than having the contents rattling around, it's wise to add some filling to pad out the bottom of your gift box. Available in lots of colours, it will help display the exciting gifts within.
