Christmas day is sneaking up on us but the good news is that if you're feeling crafty, this personalised pom pom stocking is simple and quick to make, whether it's for yourself or a friend or family member.
You will need
Hemline Household hand needles
Tacky glue
1 red felt stocking
Assorted pom poms
1 A4 white felt sheet
DMC green embroidery thread
Green yarn
White yarn
Red yarn
Gold Jingle Bells
Scissors
DIY Personalised Pom Pom Stocking
- Start by cutting out your chosen initial onto the white felt sheet. You can use a pencil to lightly sketch this out before cutting it out.
- Pin the initial to the stocking and use a blanket stitch around the edge to secure it to the stocking.
- Secure pom poms to your stocking using tacky glue, leave to dry.
- Using the yarn make two pompoms using both sizes of pompom maker. For a slightly different look why not include two colours of pom poms?
- Plait the tail threads of the poms and tie in a bow on the hanging loop of the stocking.
- Secure the bells to the stocking by using some of the yarn.
