As with most planned events this year, the Chelsea Flower Show 2020 is just one of our favourite events that has been forced to cancel this year.

The event usually takes place annually at London's Royal Hospital Chelsea, but was cancelled for the first time since World War Two due to the lockdown.

Keen to not let down the avid gardeners and green-fingered fans, the brains behind the Chelsea Flower Show have created a never before seen virtual version of the show which we've been loving!

The online content includes garden tours by some of our favourite famous faces in the world of gardening including Monty Don, expert demonstration videos plus Q&A with gardening experts.

Each day of the virtual show will also follow a different theme including wildlife gardening, health and wellbeing, and growing plants in small or indoor spaces so there is something for everyone, no matter how big your patch or your level of gardening experience.

Special programmes looking back at the best of the Chelsea Flower Show will also be shown on BBC One and BBC Two. You can see the first episode below:

In a message to its organisers, the Queen said she and her family had "always enjoyed visiting the show" and she was "pleased to hear that you will be providing gardening advice and virtual sessions on your website".

"As you adapt to the present circumstances, I hope you find this unique event enjoyable and interesting," she said.
